Having read a fair few books on value investing myself, I thought I would share my experiences of them with you. I tend to favour books by Graham, as they offer perhaps the purest interpretation of value investing, and of course my site is dedicated to his teachings.
The Intelligent Investor is without a doubt my favourite book. It is Grahams introducion to the topic, allowing the reader to consider every aspect of the subject. At the end of every chapter, there is a wonderful addition by Jason Zweig, a noted financial journalist who helps to put Graham's teachings into a modern day context.
Security analysis is a rather more lengthy read than the intelligent investor, yet it is more designed to deal with the nuts and bolts of value investing, ie researching balance sheets and past earnngs performance.
In the likely event that you are more up-to-date than I, you might like to consider the new amazon kindle.
