Home
This site is based around the principles of Benjamin Graham- the father of value investing. It explores the attitudes that are required for succesful investment, as well as offering more practical advice. Essentially a guide on how to make money on shares and stocks consistently using the most tried and tested method.
Value Vs Price
There is a very important difference between the value and price of a share- we want high value shares at low prices. By buying cheap value shares, we can expect a rise in share price when the market fully realises their underlying value, which translates into profits for the investor.
Investment Vs. Speculation
There is a major difference between investing in shares, and speculating that prices will rise further- Benjamin Graham himself was a fierce critic of speculators. We want o find shares with solid asset backing that have demonstrated reasonable rates of growth, not trying to spot the next big thing.
Some Terms Explained
There is a whole language of jargon applied the world of the stock market- this page is here to clear some issues up.
Defensive or Enterprising
This page highlights the difference between the defensive and enterprising investor. Benjamin Graham, the father of value investing walks away from the traditional interpretation that a more enterprising investor must take greater risks to make money from the stock market.
